How to Find the Lowest Gas Prices
With sky-high gas prices, everyone is scrambling to find the most inexpensive gas stations in the city (hey, even a few pennies here and there can help in the long run). What many people (and me, just recently) don't realize is that there are easier ways of identifying low gas prices other then word-of-mouth or driving around the city (and wasting gas, too).
There are plenty of websites that have added a gas feature that allows customers to place a zipcode in and find the nearest gas prices in that area. Also, many local businesses have added this feature to their website. I know that a local radio station in my area has this gas feature, so look into that. Here a few good sites:
Gas Buddy
Gas Prices @ MSN Autos
Gas Prices @ FuelEconomy.gov
This might be a good way to find gas prices, but that requires being at home (or having an Internet connect via a cellphone, which can be time-consuming when surfing the web on a 3x5in screen). IPhone and IPod touch users will be happy to know that there are applications availiable (some free, some little as $0.99) that can instantly search up gas prices.
